The Challenge
The client had his heart set on hosting a virtual event for the first time. However, he had very little knowledge of the process and heard from others of the many problems that could negatively impact a virtual event.
Since he had never hosted a virtual event before, he wasn’t sure what platform to use and didn’t know how to format the video to render an awe-inspiring experience for attendees.
The brief was to design a small-scale event on a shoestring budget, but he wanted it to be very engaging, so we had to think outside the box.
The Solution
We started by helping the client select the platform (Zoom) based on the event’s specific needs.
Next up, we got involved in the event planning meetings to provide insight on how best to facilitate the flow of the event in a virtual environment.
We worked with our communications partner, Sparktrack Consulting, to create teaser videos to promote the event and an introductory video to welcome guests. We also created custom backgrounds for the presenters to unify the branding throughout the event.
Finally, after two months of planning, we managed the event on the back end through Zoom.
Consequently, with a few branded videos and the right approach, we enabled the client to achieve the desired outcome.
